Depression is associated with chronic illnesses like hypertension, diabetes, arthritis, and should be given equal importance as this will improve the prognosis of the primary illness as well. Depression is a treatable disease and when treated in patients with chronic diseases, we see the beneficial effects in these patients. In this video, Dr. Fatima Jehangir will discuss in-depth how a better prognosis in chronic illnesses is possible by treating the depression associated with them.
